Virginia H&R Hard body Series
General Rules for all classes
(Check each class rule for any exceptions) All classes are to use to use H&R chassis CH02 with HR502 side pans only. No modifications to chassis allowed except where noted in each class. This to include no additional braces, brackets or supports of any kind allowed.
All screws must be present and tight at all times, Replacement hardware of same design and size can be used, no altering bolt holes.
Must have .047 clearance checked under rear axle & side pans only.
May glue or solder bushings to chassis.
May glue or solder motor in stock location to chassis.
Any brand guide flag, braid, nut, lead wires, gears, weight, 1/8” steel axle and axle bushing can be used. NO BALL BEARINGS!!
Tires must be PROTRACK Pron320 or Pron329/330 natural rubber or H&R 1103 and 1104 with minimum .940” diameter for fronts and minimum .970” diameter for rear and no tire coating. Width will be 3.25” maximum in all classes.
NO offsetting the tires, must be equal spacing on each side.
Spoilers to be no bigger than .250” tall, 2.250” wide and .030” thick. Spoilers MUST be in stock location, no offsetting.
No additional air controlled devices can be added.
No body modification to allow air to go through, i.e. cutting or grinding holes or reliefs. Fairgrounds is only exception.
Must Have 3 realistic size numbers on body. Must run 3d interior and chassis should not be visible.
Where glass is used, it must be attached in its stock location with no modifications, i.e. no relief cuts or holes. Lexan may be used when stock glass is not available, but must also be in stock location and be a minimum of .020” thick. Can use tape to cover holes.

MOTOR

Must weigh minimum of 40 grams
Must not be lower than 1 7/8”, measured with body sitting on tech block to tallest part of roof.

Can add lead weight only.
Body 40 grams min., Overall 200 grams min.
TIRES
Can cut tires to width of rim.
ONLY MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED
May solder a 3/16” max. Tube between the front uprights.
May solder 1/8” top hat, (axle spacer), to front holes of chassis where axle goes through.
Independent fronts allowed with one wheel locked to axle and NO soldering axle to chassis.
May float rear axle.
May use adjustable rear oilites.
Tires may be cut to width of rims.
SUPER TRUCKS
MOTOR

TIRES
Can cut tires to width of rim.
May be visible from above 1/16” to 1/8”

Any plastic NASCAR body between the years 1975 to 1993.
No resin bodies, (there are plenty of plastic kits available for this class).
Must weigh minimum of 40 grams.
No body height, but MUST NOT cut fender wells.
WEIGHT
Can add lead weight only.
Body 40 grams min., Overall 200 grams min.
TIRES
Due to the variety and years of bodies available for this class, there will be instances where the tires could be visible when looking down on car, 1/16” to 1/8”. Tech person will make call if acceptable.
Can cut tires to width of rim.

Can open rear passenger side bushing hole to help get axle square.
FAIRGROUNDS
MOTOR
H&R cobra 26,000 rpm, (29,500 rpm limit)
Can cut shaft on pinion side only
48 pitch GEAR
9t pinion (straight or angled), 31t crown, (no angled gears)
BODY
Cars are intended to immolate Saturday-night race cars.
Must have at least a half front glass or windscreen.
Screen windshield, grilles acceptable. Don’t need a grille. Must have a front bumper of some type. Holes in front are acceptable. Rear glass not needed.
Any plastic body between the years 1949 to 1974
No resin bodies
Must weigh minimum of 40 grams.
Fender wells may be cut, but CAN NOT get into upper fender lines.
WEIGHT
Can add lead weight only.
Body 40 grams min., Overall 185 grams min.
TIRES
Must run wide tires on front using part Numbers PRON320 or HR 1103
Can cut tires to width of rim
Tires may be visible from above.
